OnePali
A microdonation app rallying a million people behind one mission — $1 a month, in support of children in Palestine.

OnePali is a microdonation app built in collaboration with the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA). The premise is simple: a million people, each giving at least $1 a month, behind a single mission. I led product design — shaping an ownership-led onboarding, the supporter-number identity system, and a badge program that rewards people for spreading the word and sticking around. It's live today on the App Store and Google Play.
One million supporters, one dollar at a time.
OnePali turns solidarity into something you can hold. Every dollar is delivered through MECA — on the ground in Palestine since 1988 — funding hot meals, clean water, creative programs, and psychological support for children. The goal is lofty: a million people each donating at least $1 a month. We believe it's reachable, one supporter at a time.
Most donation apps ask for money and hand back a receipt. We wanted OnePali to give you something that feels like yours — a stake in the mission that grows more meaningful the longer you stay. Taking a cue from consumer-app builders like Nikita Bier, the onboarding leads with ownership before it ever asks for a cent.

90%
of every dollar goes to MECA
Your supporter number is a random figure between 1 and 1,000,000 — or one you choose yourself. It's your identity in the movement, and it stays yours for as long as you keep giving. Ownership, not obligation.
Designing an identity worth keeping — and a reason to keep coming back.
An onboarding that hands you something to own
New supporters first see exactly where their dollar goes, then claim a supporter number — assigned at random, or picked themselves. Leading with the number (rather than the payment) means you feel a sense of ownership before you've committed a cent.

A/B testing the donation wall
Both versions open at $1 — our anchor — and lead with MECA’s track record to build trust right at the moment of giving. We tested two ways to ask: a row of quick preset amounts with a custom option, against a slider that names the aid each dollar unlocks.
Badges that reward sharing and longevity
Working closely with the founder, we mapped out badge categories around the two behaviors that grow the movement: spreading the message and staying for the long haul. I used Midjourney to ideate directions quickly, then refined the strongest ones into a cohesive set in Figma.

A reason to open the app
Membership isn't just a monthly charge. Inside, supporters get monthly updates on how MECA is putting funds to work, plus weekly artwork posts from kids across Palestine — a steady, human reminder of where the dollar goes.

OnePali makes giving feel less like a transaction and more like belonging.
OnePali is live on the App Store and Google Play, with the supporter base growing toward the million-member goal. The ownership-led onboarding and the badge program give the community real reasons to share OnePali and stay subscribed month after month.
